A retired Sudbury firefighter has given back to the charity which helped him during his 28-year career, with a donation to his fire station. Alan Brockbank raised £600 for The Fire Fighters Charity through a series of events organised during his tenure as chairman of the Sudbury Oddfellows friendly society. Donations were collected during an afternoon tea and table-top sale hosted by Alan and his wife, Jane, at their Sudbury home, as well as various member events, plus a £250 contribution by the Oddfellows.
