KEVIN Mills says Newbury Cricket Club is in the best shape since he joined the club 29 years ago. Skipper Mills has been an integral part of the first team for more than two decades. And he said: “This is the position we have been in since I joined the club. “We have a new pavilion, new nets, the junior teams are all fully subscribed and we have had 47 people regularly turning up for nets.” Now Mills has set his sides on guiding his side up the Thames Valley League.
