Stalwarts of Bishop’s Stortford’s annual Poppy Appeal were recognised at a Royal British Legion (RBL) tea party in the town. As she stepped down after seven years in charge of the November charity collections, Denise Hudson announced the total raised by the branch in 2023 now stands at £53,939.32 This year, the party and quiz were sponsored by solicitors Lever & Co and held at St Michael’s Mead Community Hall.
