Akhnoor (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], August 5 (ANI): Security measures have been escalated in Akhnoor, Jammu district in view of the 5th anniversary of the abrogation of Article 370. On August 5, 2019, Article 370 was abrogated, taking Jammu and Kashmir’s special status and statehood and splitting it into two Union Territories. Jammu and Kashmir Police has increased patrolling in the Akhnoor LoC area by setting up checkposts at various places. The vehicles and documents are also being thoroughly checked.
