The German airline Lufthansa has cancelled further flights to the Middle East for security reasons, the company announced in Frankfurt on Monday. Connections to Israel and Tehran have been suspended for another four days up to and including Monday August 12, it said. Flights to the Lebanese capital Beirut had already been suspended for this period. Flights to Amman in Jordan and to Erbil in northern Iraq were initially cancelled up to and including Wednesday, August 7.
