Fundraisers from a town rotary club passed on a £11,000 cheque at the weekend to help fund the launch of a lorry which will be making supply trips to Ukraine. Swaffham Rotary Club was out on the marketplace last Saturday where it staged its “launch the lorry” event – organised by member Scott Stones. Mr Stones, a haulier, has made a total of 18 trips to Ukraine in his large truck full of essential supplies including clothing, food and medical supplies.
