Two ranked teams are meeting in Starkville this weekend, with Mississippi State hosting Alabama. Head coach Chris Lemonis saw his team open the series with a run-rule victory, 13-3. A lot went right for the Diamond Dawgs on Friday night but Lemonis was impressed with the pitching performance. Khal Stephen was on the bump and got through five innings of work, allowing three runs on seven hits while walking three and striking out six.
