Airport bosses and Hertford and Stortford’s MP have welcomed the introduction of contactless payments for train passengers between London and Stansted. The advent of tap-in tap-out technology was heralded by Transport Secretary Louise Haigh this week. She confirmed travellers at 19 Greater Anglia stations including Bishop’s Stortford, Sawbridgeworth and Stansted Mountfitchet will be able to pay for journeys with their contactless card or device.
