Earlier, a Weibo Digital Chat Station informant reported that OnePlus had postponed the launch of the OnePlus Pad 2 tablet. Now, according to a recent leak from another source on a Chinese microblogging site, the OnePlus Pad 2 could be launched as early as this month.
He adds that the OnePlus Pad 2 will come with four memory configurations: 8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB, 12GB+256GB, and 16GB+512GB. The device reportedly weighs about 585 g and will be available in two colors – space gray and khaki green.
The device has already passed 3C certification and appeared in Geekbench with single-core and multi-core scores of 2103 and 6297. Judging by the cluster of cores and clock speeds found in the Geekbench listing, the chipset is Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The 3C certification list shows that the tablet will support 67W fast charging. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 can be paired with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage.
According to previous rumors, the device is expected to feature a 12.1-inch LCD display with a 7:5 aspect ratio and a resolution of 3000 x 2120. This means a pixel density of 304 PPI. The peak brightness of the panel reaches 900 nits. OnePlus Pad 2 can also support Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.
There will be two cameras in total – a 13-megapixel one on the back and an 8-megapixel one on the front for video calls and 2D face unlocking. Inside, there will be a 9510 mAh battery.
The OnePlus Pad 2 is also expected to support the next-generation OnePlus Stylo stylus. It may offer a USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 1 port to replace the USB Type-C 2.0 port of its predecessor.
