Belarus’ authoritarian leader Alexander Lukashenko has ordered the release of 30 political prisoners, the presidential office said in the capital Minsk on Wednesday. It was the second such pardon in just a few weeks. The presidential office said that seven women and 23 men had been released in the latest amnesty. No names were given.
