Several hundred people took part in a pro-Palestinian demonstration on the grounds of the University of Lausanne (UNIL) in Switzerland on Saturday. They were supporting a group of students who have been occupying the entrance hall of a university building since Thursday, the Swiss news agency Keystone-SDA reported. The students are calling for an academic boycott of Israel and an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. The university’s rectorate has so far focused on dialogue with the occupiers. A new meeting between the protesters and the university management is due to take place on Monday.
