A woman has been rescued after spending around two and a half days clinging to the branches of a tree to escape floodwater in Southern Germany. The 32-year-old was finally discovered by a search drone on Tuesday afternoon, the police said. She had been missing in the flooded Silberwald, or Silver Forest, near the Bavarian city of Neu-Ulm since Saturday night. The woman was said to be was uninjured but was weakened by her ordeal and was taken to hospital suffering from dehydration.
