Both Xiaomi and Honor are currently working on their first flip phones. Honor has already announced the launch of the Magic V Flip on June 20, while official details about Xiaomi’s flip phone are still under wraps.

However, these are not the only folding phones in development. Both companies are also working on the next book-shaped phones: Xiaomi’s Mix Fold 4 and, probably, Honor’s Magic V3.

According to a leak from Smart Pikachu, both of these foldable phones will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. The Mix Fold 4 is expected to have a 5000 mAh battery and four cameras, including a telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom.

The leaked camera specs are in line with a previous report that showed the main sensor will be a 50-megapixel camera with a 1/1.55-inch sensor and optical image stabilization. It will be accompanied by the Omnivision OV60A with a 1/2.8″ sensor for 2x telephoto and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. The telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom will have a 10-megapixel sensor.

The same report hints at the extremely thin profile of the Mix Fold 4, possibly making it the thinnest foldable smartphone on the market upon release. It is also reported that this will be Xiaomi’s first foldable tablet with water protection, as none of the company’s previous tablets have been certified waterproof or splash resistant.

As for the Magic V3, the insider said that the Honor foldable phablet will have an even larger battery, although the exact capacity remains unknown.

As for the launch, according to Smart Pikachu, both Xiaomi and Honor will be released in July.
