An Ado-Ekiti Magistrate’s Court, on Friday, arraigned a 48-year-old woman over alleged N1.5 million fraud. The defendant, of no fixed address, is standing trial on a count charge of fraud. Earlier, the police prosecutor, Insp Osuolale Yomi, informed the court that the defendant committed the offence sometime in February 2024 in Ikere-Ekiti. He alleged that the defendant obtained the sum of N1.5 million from the complainant, Oba Benjamin Olaniyi, on the pretext of drilling a borehole for him.
