Coming off one of the best seasons of his career, Yomiuri Giants right-hander Tomoyuki Sugano said Saturday he has informed the newly crowned Central League champions that he intends to move to Major League Baseball after this season. “I have conveyed my intent to the team,” Sugano said after practice at Tokyo Dome. “I personally desire to play over there.” It will be his second attempt to play abroad.
