A Bayonne High School teacher punched a girl while trying to break up a fight on school grounds earlier this year, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. Joseph Mingoia, 68, of Bayonne, was arrested March 1 by members of the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and charged with second-degree endangering the welfare of child and simple assault in the incident that occurred Jan. 22.
