More than 1,000 properties are without electricity due to a power cut. National Grid has said the incident is the result of a fault on the high voltage network, and engineers are at the scene. Currently, 1,291 properties in Farndon and parts of Newark are off supply, covering a number of NG24 postcodes. The full list of affected postcodes and updates on the incident are available on the National Grid website. Power is expected to be restored by 10pm this evening.
