Details of the iQOO 13 series of smartphones are gradually leaking out. Ideally, the lineup would include two phones, such as the iQOO 13 and 13 Pro, both powered by the next-generation Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset. However, a Weibo post last week by user Digital Chat Station reportedly raised doubts about the existence of a Pro version. In today’s Weibo post, DCS again hinted that a Pro version may not be coming.
Specifications of iQOO 13 (rumored)
As you can see above, DCS mentioned the key features of the upcoming iQOO flagship phone based on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset. It is likely that he was talking about the standard IQOO 13.
Previous leaks claimed that the iQOO 13’s screen will support 1.5K resolution, while the 13 Pro’s display will offer 2K resolution. However, a new leak suggests that the iQOO 13 will have an IP68-rated body. In addition, it will have a flat OLED panel with a 2K resolution. The screen will also be integrated with an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.
When asked if he was talking about the iQOO 13 and 13 Pro, he replied that if the above specifications are realized, there will definitely be no Pro model, i.e. it will be canceled. Recall that previous Pro models such as the iQOO 12 Pro, 11 Pro, 10 Pro, and so on were not released outside of China. Finally, it looks like the 13 Pro may not even be released in China.
In terms of other specifications, previous reports have shown that the iQOO 13 could offer up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. It may feature a 6000 mAh battery with 120W fast charging support. There is a possibility that the iQOO 13 could be unveiled in November this year.
