By Jason Heavey Champion trainer Paul Nicholls has paid a touching tribute to young rider Keagan Kirkby who has died in a fall at a point to point meeting. The tragedy happened at Charing, Kent, on Sunday when his horse ran out through the wing of a fence on the second circuit of the final race. The 25 year old worked for Nicholls at his yard in Ditcheat, Somerset, and had been nominated for an award at the Thoroughbred Industry Employee Awards earlier this year.
