According to the German Association of Judges (DRB), German courts received more than 125,000 complaints from passengers against airlines last year. The number of cases nationwide had risen by around 80% on the previous year, the association explained. It referred to a survey by Deutsche Richterzeitung, the judicial and legal news magazine which it publishes. Complainants were mostly demanding compensation for cancelled or delayed flights.
