Grants were awarded by town councillors to a hospice which holds a bereavement café in Sawbridgeworth and towards a school holiday youth scheme held by East Herts Council. Applications were made to Sawbridgeworth Town Council from Hastingwood-based St Clare Hospice, East Herts Council and a group called Pets In Need Herts. The hospice holds twice monthly bereavement cafes at The Hailey Centre and applied for £500 towards the £4,250 annual cost. Councillors agreed the café did a “fantastic job”.
