Passengers had to be evacuated from a double-decker bus after it became stuck in a ditch. The Stagecoach route 17 service was heading towards Canterbury from Elham when it had to pull in to make room for an oncoming vehicle. The bus then became wedged in a ditch in Canterbury Road, just before Elham Valley Road, and had to be recovered. It is understood nobody was injured in the incident, which happened yesterday afternoon.
