A prolific shoplifter who stole £56 of vodka and £50 of butter has been jailed after breaching his suspended sentence. Raymond Wayne Canham, also known as Raymond Cannon, 50, of Tolney Lane, Newark, appeared at Nottingham Magistrates Court on June 3. Canham admitted to failing to comply with with a community requirement of his suspended sentence order, by failing to attend on April 30 and May 10. He was dealt with for his original offence and jailed for 12 weeks — which had previously been suspended for 12 months when he was sentenced on April 26.
