Notre Dame football’s 2025 class quarterback commit is a state champion … in track and field. On Saturday, Lucedale (Miss.) George County’s Deuce Knight won the Mississippi Class 6A title in the high jump and long jump. The 6-foot-4½, 200-pound Knight is a repeat champion in the long jump event. Knight registered a 23-foot, 2.25-inch mark in this year’s long jump, which was two inches shorter than last year’s leap. He still claimed gold in the event for the second straight season.
