The Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, has granted Abia Warriors approval to play their home games at the Umuahia Township Stadium. The NPFL Chief Operating Officer, Davidson Owumi gave notice of the approval in a memo sent to the club. The memo stated that the provisional clearance is subjected to periodic review during the ongoing league season. The NPFL also warned the Umuahia based club that the present structural state of the stadium facilities cannot receive approval to host games in the NPFL next season.
