Reformist candidate Masoud Pezeshkian has taken a narrow lead over hardliner Saeed Jalili in Iran’s run-off presidential election, the electoral authority said on Saturday, with the votes of some 80% of polling stations counted. According to the preliminary result, Pezeshkian has garnered about 12.7 million votes, while Jalili received 10.4 million.
