LAKELAND, Fla. \- The Polk County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) received a distress call today about two dogs trapped in rising floodwaters in a west Lakeland neighborhood due to Hurricane Debby. Upon arrival, deputies discovered that much of the neighborhood was in danger of flooding. In response, PCSO’s Special Operations team was dispatched with their specialized Swamp Buggy, a vehicle designed for navigating flooded areas.
