Around one-third of German employees are contemplating continuing to work after reaching the statutory retirement age, a new study revealed on Sunday. The report by the German Economic Institute (IW), which was obtained by the Sunday edition of the Die Welt newspaper, shows employees above the age of 55 are more likely to favour remaining in work beyond the retirement age than those under 30 years old. Likewise, professionals in managerial positions, or with higher education levels, are more open to extending their working life than workers with low education levels without managerial duties. …
