Captain Charlie ‘Griff’ Griffin of National Geographic’s Wicked Tuna has sadly died this March. The late fisherman rose to fame on Wicked Tuna: Outerbanks season 2 which first aired in 2015. Charlie appeared in seasons 2-5. The Captain lost his life in a boating accident unrelated to the Outer Banks spin-off show. Griff last appeared on the National Geographic show in 2018 as a full-time cast member. The Wicked Tuna star continued fishing outside the show.
