It looks like Samsung’s plans for the upcoming Galaxy Tab S10 series will be a bit different. Samsung does not plan to release a regular Tab S10 model in the Galaxy Tab S10 series. Gizmochina has revealed details about the new Samsung Tab S10 series devices. As a result, the Galaxy Tab S10+ and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra are clearly visible. At the same time, the noticeable disappearance of the regular Tab S10 model suggests that some changes have taken place. This suggests that Samsung has abandoned the regular Tab S10.

For a long time, it was rumored that the Tab S10 series would not be a regular Tab S10. Our IMEI database has long contained 2 different models of the Galaxy Tab S10 series. These are the Galaxy Tab S10 Plus and Tab S10 Ultra models. Although almost 6 months have passed, the regular Galaxy Tab S10 has not yet been added to the database. This is an official confirmation that the Galaxy Tab S10 will not be unveiled.

According to Gizmochina’s IMEI database, we are absolutely sure that Galaxy Tab S10+ and Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra exist. Galaxy Tab S10+ has 3 different model numbers. These are devices prepared in accordance with the regulatory requirements of different regions: SM-X826B, SM-X826N, SM-X828U. Galaxy Tab S10 Ultra also comes with 3 different model numbers: SM-X926B, SM-X926C and SM-X926N. Gizmochina obtained these model numbers from their IMEI database, so keep in mind that these are the LTE model numbers for SIM-enabled devices.

The SM-X820 and SM-X920 model numbers refer to the Wi-Fi versions of the devices. These models do not have SIM card support. We found these model numbers by checking Samsung’s OTA server. However, neither Samsung’s OTA server nor our IMEI database has information about the regular Galaxy Tab S10. Galaxy Tab S10+ and Tab S10 Ultra have passed more than 7 One UI tests. Despite this, the regular Tab S10 didn’t even get 1 test. We can attribute all these coincidences to the fact that this model will definitely not be released.

Why Samsung won’t release the Galaxy Tab S10

For the first time in the history of its tablets, Samsung launched the Ultra series in the Tab S8 series. They continued this tradition with the Tab S9 series. Perhaps the fact that the regular model of these tablets was not popular may be the reason for not releasing the regular Tab S10. In addition, Apple’s release of two models like the iPad Pro could also have influenced Samsung’s decision. There is almost no difference between the regular model and the Plus model, except for the screen size. Therefore, they may decide that an additional model is not necessary.

Expected features and launch date

According to the Geekbench processor benchmarking results, the Galaxy Tab S10+ and Tab S10 Ultra will be powered by the Dimensity 9300 processor. If we look at the Geekbench results, the Tab S10 Ultra scored 2070 points in the single-core test and 6927 points in the multi-core test. Tab S10 Plus scored 2163 points in the single-core test and 7186 points in the multi-core test. Since the processors are the same, it’s normal that these results are close to each other.

In terms of storage and RAM, the devices will be equipped in the same way as the Tab S9 series. The Tab S10 Ultra is expected to be available with 12GB/16GB of RAM and 512GB/1TB of storage. Tab S10 Plus will be available with 12GB of RAM and 256GB/512GB of storage. These devices are expected to have almost the same design as the Tab S9 series.

Unfortunately, there is no official information about the launch date yet. However, according to some leaks, the new Tab S10 series is expected to be unveiled in a few months.
