The 29-year-old man who drowned Saturday after his kayak capsized in a lake in Jackson has been identified as an Old Bridge resident. John Pereira was not wearing a personal flotation device when his kayak overturned around 2:25 p.m. in Prospertown Lake, the Ocean County Prosecutor’s office said Monday. Pereira was kayaking with a friend in the lake in the Prospertown Lake Wildlife Management Area. The friend re-surfaced.
