A woman involved in an accident in Bishop’s Stortford town centre on Friday evening is recovering from her injuries. The mum-of-two was on the traffic island on the A1250 Link Road, between Northgate End and the roundabout at the bottom of Bridge Street at around 8pm, when she was in collision with a blue Mazda car. She was taken by ambulance to Princess Alexandra Hospital, Harlow after suffering a fractured knee and hip and sore back. Police closed the road for around three hours, reopening it at 11.20pm.
