German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier has said he is in close contact with his Israeli counterpart Isaac Herzog following the deadly shooting near the Israeli consulate in Munich. “I have agreed with the Israeli president that we will remain in close contact and that we will keep him informed about what we find out in the next few hours,” Steinmeier said on a visit to the northern German town of Stade.
