ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.- A fatal accident involving a bicyclist and a car occurred shortly after 7:00 am this morning at the intersection of 16th Street North and 5th Avenue North. The investigation reveals that an eastbound red Dodge Journey, attempting a left turn south onto 16th Street North, collided with an 83-year-old bicyclist, Juan Yhanes, who was crossing the street from east to west in a marked crosswalk.
