Improved broadband connections for around 4,000 residents and businesses in villages around Sudbury are in the works. Telecoms company Gigaclear confirmed that work on new full fibre connections serving Long Melford, Cavendish and Glemsford are due to be completed in November. The project began in early 2023, when engineers began extending its network from Ridgewell using fibre optic cables.
