The Federal Aviation Administration said Monday it is conducting an intensive “nose-to-tail, wingtip-to-wingtip inspection” of the building of Boeing’s 737 Maxes at its Renton, Washington, factory. A similar review is under way in Wichita, Kansas, at Spirit AeroSystems, which builds the complete 737 fuselage airframe and ships it to Renton by train.
