Trainer Kenny McPeek and jockey Brian Hernandez Jr pulled out off one of the greatest feats in horse racing at the weekend. They combined to win the Kentucky Oaks with Thorpedo Anna on Friday at Churchill Downs. Then 24 hours later they landed the big one, the Kentucky Derby, after Mystik Dan prevailed in a three-way photo-finish, the first for 77 years. McPeek became the first trainer to complete the double since Ben Jones in 1952 while Hernandez emulated Calvin Borel who won both races in 2009….
