Germany’s Defence Minister Boris Pistorius was continuing his trip to the Balkans on Tuesday with a stop-off in Bosnia-Herzegovina. He landed in the capital Sarajevo to meet members of the government and the representative of the international community, Christian Schmidt. Pistorius is due to meet German soldiers from the EU stabilizion mission in the country, EUFOR Althea, on Wednesday. The German army, or Bundeswehr, has around 30 men and women stationed in Bosnia as part of the mission. It was set up to support the Dayton Peace Agreement which ended the Bosnian war in 1995.
