A man accused of attempting to murder a police officer in an alleged hit-and-run has been remanded in prison. Barry Rossiter, from Ashford, had his bail rescinded today after a judge at Canterbury Crown Court reversed a previous decision made by magistrates. The 23-year-old was not required to attend proceedings this morning to hear the Crown Prosecution Service’s successful appeal.
