On Wednesday,Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE:VSH) said it has completed the acquisition of Nexperia’s wafer fabrication facility and operations located in Newport, South Wales, U.K., for approximately $177 million in cash. The deal was announced on November 8, 2023; since then, the company’s shares have soared almost 3%. To facilitate the transaction, Vishay purchased a 100% stake in Neptune 6 Limited and its wholly-owned subsidiary, Nexperia Newport Limited, the owner and operator of the Newport facility.
