A Stansted Airport chaplain, who has supported employees and passengers for more than a decade, has retired. The Salvation Army’s Major Sidney Pinches, appointed in 2013, officially stepped down at the end of January. His retirement was marked by airport colleagues, past and present chaplaincy members and Salvation Army Divisional Commander, Major Howard Russell. At the gathering, a framed picture of the airport was presented, along with a certificate of appreciation from the Salvation Army.
