Japan’s real wages in June rose 1.1 percent from a year earlier, marking the first gain in 27 months, as pay increases caught up with rising prices, government data showed Tuesday. Nominal wages, or the average total monthly cash earnings per worker, including base and overtime pay, grew 4.5 percent to 498,884 yen ($3,440), up for the 30th consecutive month, according to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare.
