Former activists who campaigned against the former East Germany have warned democratic parties not to cooperate with the new German populist party Alliance Sahra Wagenknecht (BSW) after state elections. The former head of the Stasi Records Agency, Marianne Birthler, told dpa on Monday that there are great concerns about the BSW’s position on the war in Ukraine.
