By Bradley Jolly French troops will guard Buckingham Palace for the first time in history on Monday. Some 120 years of the Entente Cordiale will be celebrated at the royal residency with the move, which will see 32 soldiers from the Republican Guard of the National Gendarmerie parade with Scots Guards. King Charles has approved the drill, which is said to celebrate friendly relations between Britain and France.
