The 35-year-old soap actor was shocked last year when he was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, an autoimmune and inflammatory disease which causes the body’s immune system to attack health cells by mistake. He received his diagnosis not long before he appeared on Strictly Come Dancing \- which he performed on alongside 34-year-old professional dancer Luba Mushtuk in the 2023 season.
