Due to the feared military escalation in the Middle East, the German army or Bundeswehr is preparing a large-scale operation to evacuate German citizens from the region, dpa has learned. In order to do this, a A400M transport aircraft and soldiers are being kept ready at the airbase in Wunstorf in Lower Saxony which could take off at short notice, according to information dpa has obtained.
