Xiaomi is expected to announce the Xiaomi Mix Flip smartphone in the Chinese market soon. Today, MySmartPrice spotted a possible Xiaomi Mix Flip in IMDA certification, confirming its global debut.
Xiaomi Mix Flip IMDA certification
Xiaomi’s upcoming folding smartphone has received an IMDA certificate with the model number 2405CPX3DG. The IMDA certificate indicates that the smartphone will be equipped with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC support in global markets. Apart from the model number, the certification does not disclose the name or specifications of the device.
Earlier, the Xiaomi Mix Flip smartphone alias was confirmed through an IMEI certification spotted by Erencan Yilmaz on X (formerly Twitter). Our MySmartPrice team has previously spotted a satellite version of the smartphone in China’s MIIT certification. The smartphone has also received a CCC (China Compulsory Certificate) certificate confirming support for 67W fast charging.
A well-known informant at Digitial Chat Station previously reported that Xiaomi will launch smartphones in Q3 2024 in China. He added that Mix Flip will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. Xiaomi will equip the smartphone with a rectangular camera module and a large cover display.
The device’s internal screen will have a 1.5K resolution and a folding mechanism similar to the Xiaomi MIX Fold 3. The rectangular camera module will contain two cameras, which are said to be the 50MP OmniVision OV50E main camera with OIS and the 60MP OmniVision OV60A telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom.
