Norfolk’s new Police and Crime Commissioner will take up the role this week after emerging victorious in an election. On Thursday, Labour candidate Sarah Taylor was elected to the position after receiving 52,445 votes in a first past the post ballot system. She stood alongside candidates from the Liberal Democrats, the Green Party and the previous Commissioner, Giles Orpen-Smellie, who has been in office since 2021.
