Kyivstar is one of the largest investors in Ukraine’s economy and a taxpayer to the state budget. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the company has paid more than UAH 25.3 billion in taxes and fees, including UAH 4.5 billion paid in the first half of 2024.
In addition to fulfilling its tax obligations, the company voluntarily participates in solving social problems of the society and is an important part of the nationwide resistance to the aggressor. Thus, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Kyivstar has allocated more than UAH 2 billion for humanitarian support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, assistance to medical institutions, demining of the territory of Ukraine, connection to the Internet in shelters, etc. In particular, 146 engineering and demining groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine received vehicles, equipment and protective gear as part of the company’s We Live Here initiative.
More than UAH 50 million was allocated to purchase integrated communications equipment for the Armed Forces of Ukraine’s air force units that cover the skies over Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kherson, and parts of Dnipro, Zaporizhzhia and Kirovohrad regions. The company provides Internet access to 1550 modular houses for IDPs and almost 1500 shelters across the country.
Kyivstar plans to further develop modern communication technologies in Ukraine and assist the government in rebuilding the infrastructure. To this end, the company plans to invest USD 1 billion in the Ukrainian economy over the next 5 years.
Kyivstar is an important infrastructure company that provides critical electronic communications services and provides communications and Internet to more than 24 million Ukrainians. For more than 25 years of operation, Kyivstar has built more than 52 thousand base stations in Ukraine, including 5,500 facilities that were built during the full-scale invasion.
