Today, August 6, 2024, Huawei announced a new tablet from the popular MatePad series. The latest model is the latest variant in the MatePad Air lineup, featuring improved specs and a larger display than the previous generation.
Specifications of Huawei MatePad Air 2024
The previous generation MatePad Air was announced back in May 2023. Now its successor has also been released with various updates. It comes with a premium all-metal construction that weighs only 555 grams and an ultra-thin 5.9mm body. These materials use anti-corrosion materials to make them resistant to hand sweat.
There is also a Soft Light Edition version that comes with glare protection for the eyes and promises to offer a paper-like writing experience from the screen. The screen has a 144Hz refresh rate, 2.8K resolution, wide P3 color gamut, 3:2 aspect ratio, peak brightness of up to 1000 nits, and HDR.
The Chinese tech giant uses nano-etch technology with a nano-magnetic coating to provide soft eye protection and eliminate 99 percent of ambient light on the surface of the laptop. Simply put, Huawei aimed to offer a comfortable browsing experience on the MatePad Air, which comes with support for the Huawei M-Pencil (3rd generation) and Star Flash keyboard.
The company even marketed the tablet to users with a creative spark in the video teasers. This tablet is powered by a powerful 10,100 mAh battery that supports 66W wired fast charging.
